PREP ROUNDUP: Chambers, Parkview remain unbeaten with win over Lions

SUWANEE -- Parkview's Amanda Chambers improved to 5-0 in the circle after the Panthers (5-0) defeated Peachtree Ridge 9-5 on Wednesday in non-region softball.

Chambers pitched seven innings, allowing two earned runs and striking out five. She was also 2-for-3 with two home runs and three RBIs.

Eryn Stepp (2-for-4, two RBIs), Morgan Robinson (2-for-3, four RBIs), Ally Claytor (3-for-4, two runs) and Patty Dennison (2-for-4, two runs) had big nights at the plate.

Peachtree Ridge (9-2) was led by Sam Pierannunzi, who was 2-for-3 with a home run, three runs and two stolen bases. Kayla Jones added a 1-for-3 effort with an RBI for the Lions.


Mill Creek 5, Brookwood 4

SNELLVILLE -- Mill Creek edged host Brookwood 5-4 in eight innings of non-region softball on Wednesday.

Taylor Rogers had a double and an eighth-inning RBI for the Hawks (6-1-1) and Morgan Bell was 2-for-3 with a double and a three-run home run. Lauren Bennett also went 2-for-3.

Freshman Kaitlyn Howell pitched eight innings to earn the victory.

Duluth 9, Campbell 2

DULUTH -- Jeannie Perrucci struck out 11 batters in a three-hitter Wednesday night as Duluth beat Campbell 9-2 in fastpitch softball. She also was 2-for-2 at the plate.

Cassie Kooker was 3-for-3 to lead the Wildcats (7-1) on offense. Kayla Brown and Jessica Brown were each 2-for-4 and Reina Sycamore was 1-for-2.

Dacula 6, Norcross 1

DACULA -- Dacula defeated Norcross 6-1 Wednesday night with a strong game from Keeli Waugh, who struck out six batters and allowed one hit in a pitching victory. She also was 1-for-4 and drove in two runs.

Madison Moseley (2-for-4), Alexis Deadwyler (1-for-4, two RBIs), Kendra Pfister (2-for-4, RBI) and Sam Kates (2-for-3) also contributed offensively for Dacula (4-3-1).
