SNELLVILLE — Brookwood won a pair of softball games in the Hawk-Bulldog Invitational on Saturday, beating Oconee County 10-2 and North Forsyth 4-1.
Mandy Blackwell and Megan Litumbe each homered in the win over Oconee. Blackwell was 3-for-3 with two RBIs and Litumbe drove in three runs. Ansley Jones was 2-for-3 with two RBIs for the Broncos and Baylei Banfield was the winning pitcher.
In the North Forsyth game, Amanda Ablan earned the win and struck out seven batters. She also was 2-for-3 offensively, joining an attack that also featured Taiylor Rinehart (2-for-4, three RBIs) and Litumbe (2-for-3, stolen base).
The Broncos are now 7-4 on the season.
