LILBURN -- One person was injured in a Lilburn house fire Saturday.
The fire broke out just before noon at a Martin Nash Road home, Gwinnett Fire spokesman Colin Rhoden said, adding that a passerby called emergency dispatch, unsure if anyone was inside because there was a car in the driveway.
Firefighters found a person inside the one-story residence and quickly extinguished the blaze, which was contained to a room toward the back corner of the house. While he did not describe the injuries, Rhoden said the person was transported to a local hospital.
The fire's cause is under investigation, Rhoden said, adding that fire department investigators were called to the scene "due to the nature of the fire incident and circumstances" with the person. He noted that the incident was turned over to police and fire investigators.
