LILBURN -- Parkview's softball team plated two runs in the bottom of the seventh to come away with an 8-7 win over First Presbyterian Day.
Parkview tied the game at 7-7 when Grayson West delivered an RBI single and pushed across the winning run of an RBI hit from Patty Dennison. Dennison finished the night 2-for-4.
Other offensive contributors for the Panthers (3-0) were Ally Claytor (3-for-5), Morgan Robinson (2-for-3, RBI) and Sydney Dalton (two hits).
The winning pitcher was Amanda Chambers, who improved her record to 3-0 with a win in relief.
Dacula 4, Dawson Co. 2
HOSCHTON -- Dacula topped Dawson County 4-2 on Friday night in the Hawk-Bulldog Invitational at West Jackson Park.
Kendra Pfister was the winning pitcher, turning in five innings of work with two runs on five hits and eight strikeouts. She also went 2-for-3 at the plate.
Katelyn Daniels led the offense for the Falcons (2-1-1), going 2-for-3 with a run. Alexis Deadwyler also had a hit and a run, while Shania Norman finished 1-for-2.
Duluth 3, Georgia Military 0
PEACHTREE CITY -- Jeanie Perrucci of Duluth went 3-for-3 with three runs on Friday night to lead Duluth to a 3-0 win over Georgia Military Academy in the Leadoff Classic at McIntosh High School.
Jeanie Perrucci also struck out nine in recording the win, while Toni Perrucci had a hit and two RBIs.
Reina Sycamore also went 3-for-3 for Duluth (3-1), while Megan Sheridan finished 1-for-2.
North 5, South Effingham 4
SUWANEE -- North Gwinnett improved to 2-0-1 on Friday night with a 5-4 win over South Effingham in the Hawk-Bulldog Invitational.
Kendall McKinney led the offense for North, going 1-for-2 with a home run and two runs, while Mallory Koepke finished 2-for-3.
Kinsley Jennings also had a big hit with a three-run double. Alaina Hall picked up the win on the mound, giving up four hits with five strikeouts in six innings.
Peachtree Ridge 9, Oconee Co. 1
HOSCHTON -- Peachtree Ridge stayed unbeaten at 8-0 on Friday night with a 9-1 win over Oconee County in the Hawk-Bulldog Invitational at West Jackson Park.
Sarah Walker led the offense, going 3-for-4 with a double, two runs and four RBIs, while Savanna Turvy had two hits and drove in three. Brandie Mason added a 2-for-3 night with an RBI, while Quinn Hill finished 2-for-3.
Quinn (4-0) also earned the win on the mound, going five innings with one run on five hits with eight strikeouts.
Mountain View 13, Gainesville 0
HOSCHTON -- Mountain View needed just four innings to blast Gainesville 13-0 on Friday night in the Hawk-Bulldog Invitational at West Jackson Park.
Four different players drove in three runs each, led by Kara Adams, who was 4-for-4 with a home run. Taylor Miller also drove in three on three hits, while Kaylee Hennelly had a three-run homer.
Sammie Daugherty also went 3-for-3 with three RBIs and three runs, while Hennelly pitched all four innings for the win, striking out seven with two hits.
Buford 2, Wesleyan 0
NORCROSS -- Bria Bush of Buford both hit and pitched her team to a win as Buford blanked Wesleyan 2-0 on Friday night in the Georgia Dugout Club Leadoff Classic at Wesleyan.
Bush (2-0) pitched six innings, giving up two hits and one walk with two strikeouts, while helping herself at the plate with a hit and two RBIs.
Jazmin Hawkins also went 3-for-3 for Buford (3-0) with a run and a stolen base, while Bekah Rude went 2-for-3.
Wesleyan's Amanda DeLaPerriere had three strikeouts in taking the loss, giving up one earned run on eight hits and one walk. She also had one of Wesleyan's two hits, with the other hit coming from Emily Farrow.
HOSCHTON -- Lanier moved its record to 5-3-1 on Friday night with one win and one loss in the Hawk-Bulldog Invitational at West Jackson Park.
Lanier's first game was a 6-2 win over Providence and the strenght of a three-RBI night srom Heather Kellett. Amberly Hays added two hits and two RBIs, while Hannah Coursey went 3-for-3.
Keisha Stone also notched her third win of the year.
The Longhorns weren't as fortunate in their game against Oconee County as the Warriors blanked Lanier 6-0. Kaylee Ramos finished with two hits.
