NORCROSS -- A multiple-vehicle crash and a subsequent foot chase created traffic jams during Friday's afternoon rush hour.
Gwinnett County police spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith said the accident on Interstate 85 northbound involved five vehicles and caused minor injuries. Things got interesting, however, when the at-fault driver attempted to flee the scene on foot.
The driver, who was not identified Friday, was caught by responding officers after a "brief" chase, Smith said. He was later transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
All lanes of I-85 were reopened at about 5:05 p.m
