Richard M. “Bud” Craig, native of Lawrenceville, Georgia passed away peacefully at his home, Wednesday, August 15, 2012. Richard was a World War II veteran of the United States Army and later was employed by AT&T for 15 years. Richard attended Woodrow Wilson Law School and began his Lawrenceville law practice in 1957. He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Myrle Webb Craig, and son, Paul Craig. Richard is survived by two sons, Alan Craig and his wife Becky, and James Craig all of Lawrenceville, GA; two daughters, Barbara Craig Field, Canton, GA, and Ann Craig of Lawrenceville, GA; 9 grandchildren, Richard Martin Craig II, Kelly Craig Sundgren, Britte Craig Anderson, Chad Alan Craig, Dedra Allane Craig, James McKinney Field, III, Christopher Craig Field, Barbara Michelle Schuder, and Rachel Elaine Craig, 13 great grandchildren, nieces, Sandra Swaim of Snellville, GA and Naomi Townsend of Umatilla, FL; nephews, Steve Vandiver of Snellville, GA, David Craig, Toccoa, GA and niece, Nancy Craig of Atlanta, GA. The Service Celebrating the Life of Mr. Craig will be held Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Tom M. Wages Lawrenceville Chapel with Minister Harold Savage officiating. Interment will follow at Shadowlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and on Saturday from 9:00 A.M. to the hour of the service at the funeral home.
