Peachtree Ridge senior Tyler Haswell has made a commitment to the South Carolina baseball program, which won the 2010 and 2011 NCAA titles and finished as the NCAA runner-up this season. He is the son of Mike and Tonya Haswell.
Haswell earned first-team all-county and all-region honors as a junior, when he hit .341 with three home runs, 15 RBIs and nine doubles. As a pitcher, he was 5-2 with one save, a 2.35 ERA and 52 strikeouts in 53 innings.
