LAWRENCEVILLE -- School may be back in session creating hectic schedules, but there is always time to squeeze in a camping trip over the weekend, especially if you don't need to drive too far.
On Friday, Gwinnett County is hosting a family campout at Tibble Mill Park at 7 p.m. for families of all sizes and ages -- well, 5 years and older. During the night, there will be games and activities under the stars, plus a chuck wagon-style dinner and hot breakfast in the morning.
Since the food and entertainment are included overnight, families are asked to bring their own camping gear and tents because those supplies won't be available.
The event ends Saturday at 8 a.m.
It is $8 per person or $30 for a family of four and reservations are required. All participants must be registered by Tuesday. To save a spot for you and your family, call 770-418-2331, visit www.gwinnettcounty.com or email Kim Shealy at kim.shealy@gwinnettcounty.com.
Tribble Mill Park is located at 2125 Tribble Mill Parkway in Lawrenceville.
