NORCROSS -- A Wednesday night fire scorched two storage buildings in the 6500 block of Buford Highway in Norcross, officials said.
A passerby reported the fire at 11:40 p.m., and firefighters had it controlled about 25 minutes later. The blaze destroyed one storage building and caused extensive damage to an adjacent one, said Fire Department spokesman Capt. Thomas Rutledge.
Firefighters were able to spare a lawn mower shop that shares the property. The property owner told fire officials that all buildings on the property were operated by separate businesses. No one was at the scene when firefighters arrived, and no injuries were reported, Rutledge said.
The exact cause is under investigation.
