PEACHTREE CORNERS -- No one was injured Monday, when a train collided with a truck in Peachtree Corners.
The incident began about 3:20 p.m., when a truck was involved in an accident at Buford Highway and Amwiler Road, which has a Doraville address, police spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith said.
The truck came to rest on the train tracks, but the occupants were not seriously injured and were able to get out of the vehicle, Smith said. A train hit the empty truck a short time later, he added.
Traffic was not seriously affected, and the scene was cleared at about 5 p.m., he said.
