The FBI is searching for the lone gunman who robbed a Wells Fargo Bank at 5505 U.S. Highway 29 in Lilburn on Monday morning.
LILBURN -- Lilburn police and the FBI are seeking a fake-beard-wearing robber who held up a Wells Fargo Bank branch Monday morning, leaving with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The robbery happened at 9:17 a.m. at 5055 U.S. Highway 29.
FBI officials said the man approached a teller, announced a robbery and pointed a silver-and-black handgun. The teller handed over cash, and the man fled on foot.
Officials described the robber as a black man in his late 20s to early 40s, about 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall and 165 pounds. In addition to the fake black beard, the gunman wore a dressy fedora, long-sleeved blue shirt, blue jeans and gray Jordan high-top shoes with blue trim.
