LONDON — Kibwe Johnson will have a chance for an Olympic medal this weekend.
The North Gwinnett grad qualified for the finals in the hammer throw on Friday in London.
Johnson's throw of 77.17 meters (253 feet, 2 inches) put him in fourth place in his group and fifth overall in the standings.
The former North standout will have a chance for an Olympic medal during Sunday's hammer throw finals of the London Olympics.
