DULUTH -- The city of Duluth is getting close to having the McClure Bridge Road and roundabout finished.
City staff and consultants recently completed a final inspection punch list for the construction of the projects. But before they can move forward with the projects, staff and contractors must correct a stormwater pipe issue near the roundabout. A full replacement of the pipe is being completed as part of the original contract at the contractor's expense.
In addition, AT&T is returning to complete work near the roundabout.
City officials said residents should use caution when driving through the area until construction is complete.
"The city is doing everything we can to expedite the completion of this construction project," said Alisa Williams, public information and marketing director for the city of Duluth. "The improvements along McClure Bridge Road and roundabout have been designed and constructed to serve the citizens of Duluth for years to come."
