Atlanta Silverbacks forward Reinaldo Navia was named the North American Soccer League's Offensive Player of the week, the NASL announced Monday.
Navia, a native of Chile and former Club America star in Mexico, scored two goals in Atlanta's 3-3 tie with the defending champion Minnesota Stars on Saturday and has five this year to lead the league.
"I feel very honored to be recognized by the league," Navia said through a translator. "I hope that I can continue scoring goals and helping the team collect points in the league."
The Silverbacks' next game is a rematch against the Stars at 8:30 p.m. Saturday in Blaine, Minn.
