FLOWERY BRANCH -- The Atlanta Falcons announced Monday that they have signed 22 college free agents, including Brookwood grad Dawson Zimmerman.
Zimmerman averaged 41.8 yards per punt as a senior after averaging 42.7 yards on 60 punters as a junior. The 6-foot-2, 205-pounder will compete with current Falcons punter Matt Bosher, a rookie last season who averaged 42.7 yards per punt, which ranked 30th in the NFL.
The Falcons now will have three Gwinnett products in training camp this year -- returning tight end Michael Palmer of Parkview and defensive end Jonathan Massaquoi, a fifth-round draft pick this year, of Central Gwinnett.
