CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) — Add this to the list of ways the President of the United States woos young voters in an election-year: He slow jams the news.

Obama, appearing on NBC's "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" show, joined the comedy host in a popular feature of his program.

The president, looking in the camera, talked earnestly about student interest rates as The Roots, Fallon's hip house band, laid down a rhythm. Then the camera cut to Fallon in the foreground, where he punched up the message in his own way.

"Now is not the time to make school more expensive for our young people," Obama said. Then Fallon: "Ohhhh yeaahh. You should listen to the president."

The episode was taped during Obama's appearance at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Just remember America, some people in this country hired this man knowing he did not have the qualifications or experience to be a president of anything much less the greatness nation on this planet. You got what you wanted. He is doing the best he can.

The Fallon-Obama sketch is quite clever and the interview is very good. Jimmy himself said they he never takes a political side -- what a classy TV host. We have come a long way since Pres. Nixon appeared on Laugh In. I'm sure Jimmy or SNL will have Romney appear. It's part of the political process these days - like it or not.
