Sugar Hill's Earth Day celebration moved inside

SUGAR HILL -- Mother Nature is forcing Sugar Hill's Earth Day celebration indoors.

The event, originally scheduled for noon to 5 p.m. at E.E. Robinson Park, will now be hosted at nearby White Oak Elementary due to the threat of inclement weather. Festivities include a "trash to treasure" community yard sale, which serves as a fundraiser for the elementary school's outdoor classroom and garden.

White Oak Elementary is located at 6442 Suwanee Dam Road.

The third-annual "Touch-A-Truck" event -- where kids can climb in and explore vehicles including garbage trucks, construction machines, police cruisers and fire engines -- will still be held at E.E. Robinson Park. That event is scheduled to run from noon to 3 p.m.
