Kurt L. Simpson, age 14 of Buford, GA died Saturday, April 14, 2012. Funeral service will be held Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Sugar Hill Church. Pastors Chuck Allen and Luke Pinder will officiate. Interment will follow at Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens. The Family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 from 4-8 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made out to: “The Kurt Simpson Lanier High School Scholarship Fund”, C/O Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel, 3481 Hamilton Mill Rd., Buford, GA 30519. Kurt was preceded in death by his Father, Rodney Simpson. He is survived by his Mother, Marjorie Simpson, Buford; Grandparents, Charles and Mary Jane Simpson, Dacula, GA, Bev and Paul Comes, PA, and Judy Bosworth, PA; Aunts and Uncles, Nancy Wilber, PA, Bruce and Brenda Bosworth, PA, Rick and Cindy Bosworth, PA, Jeffrey Bosworth, Snellville and Gary and Cynthia Simpson, Dacula; Cousins, Jordan Simpson, Chris Redmon, Nick Bosworth, Jake Bosworth, Adam Bosworth, Amanda Bosworth, Kari Wilber, Tim Rondeau, Megan Rondeau, Mike Bosworth and Zach Bosworth. Kurt was a lifelong resident of the Atlanta area. He was a student at Lanier Middle School where he was an Honor Student and a member of the Student Counsel and Beta Club. He excelled in math and earned a state award for 7th grade SAT scores. Kurt was an avid soccer player and played with AFUSA. He enjoyed basketball, playing video games, and fishing.
