SUWANEE -- Jimmy Shea went 3-for-6 and drove home Wayne Wages with the winning run on a suicide squeeze bunt in the bottom of the 10th inning to lift Collins Hill to a 7-6 upset of No. 7 state-ranked North Gwinnett in an extra-inning, Region 7-AAAAA baseball game Monday at Collins Hill.
Wages finished the night 2-for-4 with a pair of runs scored, while John Topoleski went 2-for-4 and Nate Williams had a two-run home run among his three RBIs. Matt McCain (1-0) got the win with four shutout innings out of the bullpen, giving up just one hit and three walks while striking out five.
Ryan Askew threw six innings for the Eagles, giving up six runs while striking out four.
Mountain View 4, Mill Creek 3
LAWRENCEVILLE -- Peyton Fore's two-run double with the bases loaded highlighted a four-run fifth inning as Mountain View came from behind to upset Region 7-AAAAA co-leader and ninth-ranked Mill Creek 4-3 at home Monday night.
Joey Bell (4-2) threw 6 solid innings, scattering six hits and three earned runs with five strikeouts, to get the win, while A.J. Moore struck out the final two Mill Creek batters with the potential tying and winning runs in scoring position to earn his first save of the season and keep Mountain View (14-7, 7-7) a game ahead of Collins Hill in the race for the region's final state playoff berth.
Alex Dedels, Tyler Bethune, Forrest Girardeau and Crew Peery each added a hit for the Bears.
Norcross 5, Duluth 2
NORCROSS -- Chris Raasch (3-3) tossed a complete game, scattering six hits and two earned runs and striking out nine, as Norcross downed Region 7-AAAAA rival Duluth 5-2 on Monday at home.
Tanner Maloof kick-started the Norcross (8-12, 4-9) offense by going 1-for-1 with two walks, two stolen bases and a run scored, while Zach Shirah, Joseph Wilber and Andrew Gray added a hit and an RBI apiece. Hamp Floyd and Griffin Helms each went 2-for-3 and scored a run, with Helms adding a stolen base.
Parkview 10, Archer 7
LAWRENCEVILLE -- Ryan Blanton went 2-for-4 and drove in two runs, while Jeff Ronpirin was 2-for-4 with an RBI and Jarrett Freeland was 1-for-3 with two RBIs as top-ranked Parkview maintained its lead in Region 8-AAAAA with a 10-7 win over Archer on Monday at Archer.
Jack Esmonde improved to 2-1 on the season with help from Hunter Thornton, who picked up his first save of the year for Parkview (16-4, 10-1).
Dacula 12, Central 0, 5 innings
LAWRENCEVILLE -- Morgan Loyd (3-3) gave up just four hits and struck out six in five shutout innings on the hound and added a double and two RBIs at the plate as Dacula rolled past Central Gwinnett 12-0 in Region 8-AAAAA play Monday at Central.
Tyler Crumley went 2-for-4, with a double and two RBIs and Brandyn Bartlett was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs to lead the Dacula (6-16, 5-7) attack, while Matt Cole went 2-for-2, Austin Collins was 2-for-3, Michael Barnes was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI and Matt Nigh finished 2-for-4.
Brookwood 13, Berkmar 1, 5 innings
SNELLVILLE -- Jordan Dykes (1-0) tossed four effective innings, giving up just two hits and one unearned run with five strikeouts, and had a hit and drove in three runs at the plate as Brookwood beat Berkmar 13-1 in a Region 8-AAAAA home game Monday at the Dave Hunter Sports Complex.
Michael Gouge went 2-for-2, Cedric Mullins had a hit and an RBI and Lucas Sims added a hit and drove in two runs as Brookwood improved to 12-7 overall and 8-3 in region.
Hebron 4, George Walton 2
DACULA -- Mason Felt tossed a complete game and Drew Coker and Tyler Hutch each drove in a pair of runs as top-ranked Hebron Christian solidified their hold on the Region 8-A lead with a 4-2 win over No. 9 George Walton Academy at home Monday.
Felt (8-0) gave up just two hits and one earned run and struck out nine on the day, and got help from Coker, who went 3-for-4 and Hutch, who was 2-for-3.
Jordan Hillyer also contributed a hit for Hebron (18-2, 14-0).
Lanier 22, Meadowcreek 1
SUGAR HILL -- Kelley McCoy three-run homer and Matt DeWilde 2-for-2 day with three RBIs highlighted a barrage that keyed the Lanier Longhorns' 22-1 win over visiting Meadowcreek in a non-region game Monday.DeWilde (1-0) also got the win on the mound, going three innings and allowing two hits and one run with two strikeouts.
Blake Forte, Taylor Grant, Kevin Clark and Kameron Doster each contributed two hits and multiple RBIs for Lanier (12-8).
Killian Hill Christian 11, King's Way 4
LILBURN -- Alex Attebery (3-3) scattered seven hits and two earned runs and struck out 10 over six innings and added a two-run single at the plate as Killian Hill Christian beat King's Way 11-4 Monday at home.
Samuel Winston was 2-for-3 with four RBIs, Mark Shaver went 2-for-4 with three RBIs, Adam Maeland was 2-for-4 and Preston Attebery added a two-run, inside-the-park homer as Killian Hill (8-3, 7-3) pulled even with King's Way for second place in GCAA Region 1.

ATLANTA -- Megan Kelly and Sarah Settlage posted wins at Nos. 1 and 3 singles respectively as Wesleyan swept Holy Innocents' 3-0 in the quarterfinals of the Region 5-A tournament Monday at Blackburn Tennis Center.
The No. 1 doubles team of Kaitlin English and Julie Rodriguez also won as Wesleyan (13-4) advanced into today's region semifinals.

ATLANTA -- The No. 1 team of Andrew Dorman and Zach Taylor and the No. 2 team of Cameron Anderson and Palmer Brasher swept the doubles matches as Wesleyan shut out Atlanta International in Monday's quarterfinals of the Region 5-A tournament at Blackburn Tennis Center.
Kris Ippolito completed the sweep with a victory at No. 3 singles to send Wesleyan into today's region semifinals.

DACULA -- Hyun Choi's 3-over par 39 helped the Mill Creek boys golf team edge Collins Hill by four strokes Monday at Hamilton Mill Golf Club.
Patrick Hilton and Alex Simpson carded matching rounds of 42 to pace Collins Hill.

DACULA -- Paced by Ellen Min's round of 44, Collins Hill held off Mill Creek by eight strokes in a dual match Monday at Hamilton Mill Golf Club.
Laney Hudson shot 51 to lead Mill Creek.
Brookwood 14, Norcross 4
NORCROSS -- Courtney Ross scored five goals to help Brookwood to a 14-4 win at Norcross in Area 4-AAAAA on Monday.
Brittany Marquis added two goals and two assists, while Haley Curtin scored twice and goaltender Brooke Wagner stopped eight shots as the Broncos improved to 7-5 overall and 3-3 in area play.
Parkview 24, Mountain View 3
LILBURN -- Victoria Petrassi and Bethany Barbour each tallied five goals as Parkview scored a big 24-3 win over visiting Mountain View in Area 4-AAAAA action Monday at the Big Orange Jungle.
Mariah Smith and Kelly Spevacek each added a hat trick, while Riley Fields also scored twice and Lisa McManus made seven saves to pace Parkview (5-10, 3-6).
Duluth 11, Archer 3
LAWRENCEVILLE -- Whitney Brown scored four goals and Ali Cole chipped in three goals and two assists as Duluth scored an 11-3 victory over Archer in an Area 4-AAAAA road game on Monday.
Paige Falkowski had 13 saves for Duluth (8-7, 6-2).
North Gwinnett 15, North Cobb 3
SUWANEE -- Luke Printz had a hat trick and James Shimkus and Nathan Howell added two goals apiece to lift North Gwinnett past visiting North Cobb on Monday at Tom Robinson Memorial Stadium.
Alex Riggins and Evan Richardson were both solid in goal for North (9-1), with Riggins stopping three shots and Richardson adding four saves.
Duluth 21, Archer 1
LAWRENCEVILLE -- Ben Loyal scored seven goals and added two assists as Duluth went on the road and beat Archer 21-1 in an Area 4-AAAAA match Monday.
Charlie Hall finished with four goals and an assist for Duluth (10-4, 4-4), while Brendan Eckard contributed three goals and two assists, Wes Ramon had four goals and an assist, Zack Consie chipped in two goals and three assists and Aaron Hind dished out his first varsity assist.
Hebron 4, Athens Academy 0
DACULA -- Chris Austin scored twice as Hebron posted an important Area 5-A win over visiting Athens Academy on Monday.
Cole Redman had a goal and an assist, Andrew Thompson also scored and Tyler Smith made five saves to post the shutout for Hebron (10-5, 5-1).
