• Open since: November 2011
• Owner: Tom Tillotson
• Location: Enzo's is located at the intersection of Main Street West and Walton Court next to Ruby Tuesday's.
• Hours: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, 11 a.m. to midnight Saturdays and Sundays
• Atmosphere: Enzo's Pizza has two areas to eat: inside or outside.
Outside, there are tables that wrap around the building and flower pots that are painted with bright colors promoting the restaurant. The focal point of the dining space is the outdoor fireplace that owner Tom Tillotson put in to keep diners warm on chilly days.
Inside, there are tables and booths aligned throughout the building with three walls of large windows adorned with neon beer signs facing inward toward diners. All of the tabletops have the essentials for munching on a New York-style pizza: paper towels and an array of toppings to sprinkle, like crushed red pepper flakes and grated Parmesan cheese.
Enzo's also has an open kitchen, so you can watch as the cooks create your pies, calzones and sandwiches while waiting in the dining room.
For those with children, there is an arcade room to keep them occupied while waiting for a table, your food or after eating. There are plenty of games to entertain the entire family.
• Menu: Tillotson grew up in New Jersey near an Italian neighborhood and has always loved New York-style pizza with traditional Italian flavors.
"I'm not trying to reinvent the wheel here," he said. "What I do want is to use fresh ingredients to make great meals the traditional way. I want families to be able to come here and not spend a ton of money while having a nice night out."
When Tillotson moved to the South, he began working at Fellini's Pizza, a pie joint in Atlanta. He learned how to knead, toss and bake pizza dough and create a simple pizza sauce, which tops all of the pies. He has even figured out the perfect ratio of cheese to toppings.
"It makes a big difference," he said. "We don't even buy bargain cheese because you can tell the difference and we want our food to be consistent for our customers."
Enzo's offers beer and wine -- to those of legal drinking age -- and is thinking about adding liquor to the menu in the future.
"This area isn't only families," Tillotson said about Snellville. "There are older people without children or retired who would like to get a meal and a mixed drink close to their house. It's definitely a thought for the future."
• Things you might not know: Tillotson also has a location in Tucker off of Hugh Howell Road.
