VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- Ryan Millhof continued his dominating sophomore season on Saturday.
The Collins Hill standout won the National High School Coaches Association sophomore national title. Millhof was one of three local wrestlers to place at national tournaments over the weekend.
Millhof, who won the Class AAAAA state championship in February, defeated Wyoming's Bryce Meredith 6-4 in the finals of the 113-pound finals.
Millhof dominated throughout the tournament winning 17-2 in the first round, 13-1 in the second round, by first-period pin in the quarterfinals and 11-2 in the semifinals.
Buford's Chip Ness also placed in the tournament, taking third in the 182-pound bracket.
Parkview's Kamaal Shakur was fourth at Flo Wrestling's national tournament, earning him All-American honors.
