Cops: Third strike no charm for Waffle House flasher

SUWANEE -- Police arrested a Suwanee man this week with an apparent penchant for exposing himself in Waffle House dining rooms and other public places.

Employees at a 545 Peachtree Industrial Blvd. restaurant provided Suwanee police with the tag number of Tracy Brown, 37, which police used to arrest him at home Wednesday, officials said.

One employee said a man fitting Brown's description sat in a booth by the front window and unzipped his fly, a Suwanee police report states.

The female employee "immediately recognized the suspect as a person who entered the restaurant approximately one year ago and exposed himself and masturbated in the restaurant," an officer wrote.

Brown's waitress told police he made a pass at her, mentioning that he liked Egyptian women like her and that he brings home $2,500 every two weeks. Unenthused, she went back to working, the report states.

When Brown left in a Chevrolet Tahoe, the employee who recognized him noted his tag number and called police.

Brown is suspected in a similar incident at the restaurant last year and a third instance that went unreported, Suwanee police Capt. Clyde Byers said. Officers secured surveillance video from Waffle House that could aide in prosecution, the report states.

The lewd behavior arrest wasn't a first for Brown.

In December 2009, a woman at a Peachtree Industrial Boulevard Subway restaurant near Norcross told police she saw him park his Tahoe and nonchalantly walk in front of her car while masturbating, smoking a cigarette and waving at her. She too jotted his tag number, a police report states.

Brown spent more than a month in the Gwinnett County Jail in early 2010 on charges stemming from that incident.

Byers said Brown was free on bond from the earlier arrest when Suwanee police picked him up at home on Riverstone Drive. He remains jailed without bond, facing three counts of public indecency.
