78 repaired after water main break

LOGANVILLE -- Officials are still trying to determine the costs of a water main break that left portions of U.S. Highway 78 closed near Loganville for five days.

Repair work on the highway was finished Monday evening, and the lanes reopened around 7 p.m., a county spokesman said. Work is continuing on Langley Road, after a 48-inch water main burst Thursday morning, flooding a mobile home park and buckling the road.

Gwinnett spokesman Joe Sorenson said an invoice for the work should come soon.
