LAWRENCEVILLE — Police are trying to determine the identity of a man found dead of a gunshot wound Saturday at a townhouse on Bellefonte Avenue.

Cpl. Jennifer Roberts said Gwinnett County Police responded to a burglary in progress at 1:45 p.m., and found the body of an “unidentified man.”

Also at the residence were a man and woman, who lived there. Both were unharmed, she said.

Roberts said police are searching for someone they believe to be a suspect.

“We’re trying to get that person identified as well as the deceased,” said Roberts on Saturday night.

Gwinnett County Police officials were still on the scene Saturday interviewing witnesses. Further details had not yet been officially released.
