LILBURN -- Police are looking for a man they say robbed a Lilburn bank Thursday while wearing a Vikings jersey.
Lilburn police spokesman Capt. Ben Haynes said the man -- described as a balding, heavy-set white male in his 40s -- entered the RBC Bank at 494 Indian Trail-Lilburn Road at about 10:25 a.m., passing a note demanding money to a teller.
The bank turned over the money, Haynes said, along with a dye pack that exploded as designed.
"The suspect may have red dye stains on his person and may have possible injuries to his body from this deployment," Haynes said.
No one was injured during the robbery and the suspect, about 6 feet tall, left the scene in a maroon, late-model Chevrolet Corsica with damage to the front passenger side front door. The unidentified man was wearing a purple Minnesota Vikings jersey with the number 29 and "C. TAYLOR" across the back, Haynes said.
Anyone with information is asked to call Senior Investigator Kim Banks of the Lilburn Police Department at 770-638-2220.
