BREAKDOWN: Fellowship Christian at Wesleyan

Fellowship Paladins (5-A North)

Coach: Hunter Chadwick

Record: 2-1, 0-1 subregion

Last week: Lost to King's Ridge 37-25

Wesleyan Wolves (5-A North)

Coach: Franklin Pridgen

Record: 2-2, 0-1 subregion

Last week: Lost to Holy Innocents' 14-0

The Wolves lost frontrunner status in the subregion to Holy Innocents' in last week's defensive battle, but they hope to get the offense clicking better against Fellowship.

"I thought our defense played well (vs. Holy Innocents')," Wesleyan head coach Franklin Pridgen said. "They hit us for a couple of big plays, but overall I thought our defense played well. I thought our special teams played well, too. ... The real issue is that we were very one dimensional on offense and I don't like to do that.

"We will have a more diversified attack this week. We have to find a way to throw the ball."

Wesleyan is still without starting quarterback Will Anderson, who is recovering from a knee sprain and is expected back later in the season. Eric Sunderman, a key kicker since his freshman season and a standout at wide receiver this season, is filling in for Anderson. His move to QB also takes away one of the Wolves' top wide receivers.

"Eric's doing fine," Pridgen said. "He's an emergency backup quarterback. That's not where he trained all summer, but he's a courageous young man and he's totally unselfish. If you asked him if he was ready to move back to wide receiver, he'd say absolutely. But he's doing this for the best of the team."

Pridgen also plans to continue finding ways for talented wideout Rodney Morris to get offensive touches.

Last meeting: Wesleyan won 63-6 last year
