Collins Hill Eagles (7-AAAAA)

Coach: Kevin Reach

Record: 1-3, 0-1 region

Last week: Lost to North Gwinnett 34-10

Duluth Wildcats (7-AAAAA)

Coach: Corey Jarvis

Record: 2-2, 0-1 region

Last week: Lost to Norcross 35-14

Two teams in need of a win to bounce back from last week's region opener and continue to have a strong foothold in the race for one of the region's four state playoff berths square off tonight at Cecil Morris Stadium.

Both are also trying to overcome the frustration of showing flashes of promise in their recent losses, only to be undone by their own mistakes.

For the visiting Eagles it means cutting down on turnovers.

"We've had 13 turnovers in four games," Collins Hill head coach Kevin Reach pointed out. "That's uncharacteristic of us, but we're not dwelling too much on it. We've just got to go out and play."

For the host Wildcats, the task has to do with a different mental block.

"We've competed (well) in some big games," Duluth head coach Corey Jarvis said. "We've got to learn how to win those big ball games. That's one of the things the kids have heard me say all week."

Quarterback Anfornee Stewart of Duluth is unlikely to play this week after injuring his ankle against Norcross.

Duluth has been getting strong play from seniors Darnell Hart and Richard House and junior Lou Cole on the defensive side, while Mitchell Blanchard could give the Eagles a leg up with special teams in a close game.

Last meeting: Collins Hill won 49-14 last year
