Clarke Central Gladiators (8-AAAA)

Last week: Beat Habersham Central 34-20
Winder-Barrow Bulldoggs (8-AAAA)
Coach: David Wagner
Record: 0-3, 0-3 region
Last week: Did not play
Still stinging from seeing their losing streak extended to 16 games with an overtime loss to Madison County two weeks ago, the Bulldoggs are faced with one of their toughest foes to date this season in Clarke Central.
Traditionally one of the region's powerhouses, this year's Gladiators team doesn't appear to be much different, boasting high-powered skill players like Quenshaun Watson and sophomore quarterback Cameron Johnson.
"They've done a fantastic job year in and year out putting an outstanding team on the field," Winder-Barrow head coach David Wagner said of Clarke.
Fortunately for the Bulldoggs, they will be as close as they've been to full strength for the first time since the beginning of the season with seven players who missed the game against Madison County returning, including defensive lineman Juan Lozano.
And if the offensive line can open holes for running back Jamonte Riden, Wagner is hopeful Winder-Barrow can give Clarke all it wants, and hopefully more.
"Everybody should be back with the exception of two guys," Wagner said. "That's a huge help for us. And we like what Jamonte can bring for us. He's got uncanny balance and can go from zero to 60 like that. It's nice to have that in a running back."
Last meeting: Clarke Central won 55-0 last year
