LAWRENCEVILLE -- A Lawrenceville man wanted on several felony warrants was nabbed early Monday morning after being stopped for riding his bicycle on the wrong side of the road.

Lawrence Jock Brown, 42, was reportedly stopped at about 3 a.m. Monday while riding his bike against traffic on Killian Hill Road. According to police reports, Brown did not have identification with him and gave the responding officer multiple incorrect names and dates of birth.

After the officer finally nailed down Brown's correct name, it was discovered that he was already had outstanding warrants for aggravated assault, armed robbery, possession of a knife during the commission of a crime and obstruction of a 911 call.

Those charges stemmed from an August incident in which he allegedly broke into his ex-girlfriend's house while her new boyfriend was there, Gwinnett County police spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith said. As a child attempted to call police, Brown reportedly snatched the phone at knifepoint and fled the scene.

Brown originally told police Monday that he was riding his bike to "his girlfriend's house." Online jail records show he is being held without bond.
