The Gwinnett County cross county coaches will induct its second class into their county hall of fame later this year. The six-member class will be honored on Nov. 28 at the all-county banquet at Brookwood.
Brookwood's Anita Coverdale, Collins Hill's Natalie Florence, Shiloh's Gibbs Knotts and South Gwinnett's Josh Crowfoot will be inducted as runners, while Brookwood's Joe Carter and Parkview's Karl Bostick will be inducted as coaches.
The group will join Duluth's Dan Smith and Gary House and Brookwood's Marny Westphal in the hall of fame.
All of the members of this year's class were state champions. Coverdale won her title in 1990. Florence was a three-time Gwinnett County and region champ along with winning state in 1999. Knotts was a two-time region and state champion in 1986-87 and Crowfoot was a two-time state champ in addition to county and region titles in 1995-96.
Carter built the Broncos' girls program into a dynasty in the 1990s, winning five county championships, six region titles and four state championships. Bostick was just as successful at Parkview in the 1980s and early '90s, winning eight county titles, seven region crowns and six state championships.
