Mall Of Georgia Belk Celebrates Remodeling

BUFORD -- Belk is celebrating completion of a remodeling effort at its Mall of Georgia location.

The $900,000 project included expansion of the women's shoes department as well as new fashion, jewelry, accessories and handbags areas at the store.

The store is holding a grand opening celebration from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday featuring music, refreshments, vendor giveaways and prize drawings.

"We believe our customers will love the exciting changes we've made in our store," stated Tim Barrett, store manager. "Our brand new ladies shoes department on the second floor has more than doubled in size to 8,000 square-feet of space."

Added Barrett: "These improvements demonstrate our ongoing commitment to serving customers in the Buford community. It's part of our new mission to satisfy the Southern lifestyle needs of customers like no one else by delivering the fashion they desire and the value they deserve."

Belk has operated at its two-level, 121,000 square-foot location at the Mall of Georgia since 2005.

Organizing business opens doors

DULUTH -- Clutterninja, A professional organizing service has opened in Duluth, specializing in residential services.

Suzanne Willett launched the business as a way to combine her years of experience in retail management and staffing with her "love of everything clutter free."

Stated Willett: "Ten years in retail management and 10 years in the staffing industry found me organizing everything from large inventories to the massive volumes of paper associated with hundreds of contract employees.

"When I was looking across those experiences for what I enjoyed, organizing was the common thread," Willett stated.

The business considers all types of organzing projects but will initially focus on residential organizing services, "creating strategies for areas such as kitchens, closets, garages, kids' bedrooms and playrooms."
