The Tennessee Titans released former Brookwood and Georgia standout Rennie Curran over the weekend in an attempt to cut the roster down to the 53-player limit.
The 5-foot-11, 230-pounder was reportedly in a tough situation as new Tennessee head coach Mike Munchak moves to bigger linebackers. Curran, a third-round NFL Draft pick in 2010, had 11 special teams tackles and played in nine games as a rookie.
He made 19 tackles, including a team-high 15 solos, this year in the preseason.
Curran and his agent are currently in talks with other NFL teams about finding a new home.
