DULUTH -- The Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for its inaugural Healthcare Excellence Awards.

Through the awards, the Chamber hopes to "salute excellence, encourage innovation, (and) offer examples of best practices for others to emulate." Those interested can nominated a client, coworker or themselves.

To be held on Wednesday, Dec. 7, the award show will recognize winners in eight categories: physician, nurse practitioner, non-physician health care professional, volunteer, executive/administrator, health care agency, and philanthropist of the year, as well as an "advancements in health" award.
