Atmosphere: Picture a quaint French bakery in the heart of Paris, right down to the heavenly smells of just-baked breads, cakes and pastries, and steaming hot coffees.
Even before walking through the door of the Paris Village Bakery, you'll know you're in for a delightfully indulgent culinary experience. The scents of freshly baked breads emanate from the small patisserie, highlighted by occasional wafts of rich chocolate, almond, hazelnut and spices. Owner Kim arrives every morning at 4 a.m., baking the day's beautifully presented offerings.
Patrons stopping in for breakfast know they can expect hot breads and just-out-of-the-oven croissants and pastries. Many of the ingredients used are organic, and individually-packaged cookies, breads and pastries are wrapped in eco-friendly packaging. From the melon bread (flavored with honeydew) to the Marble Castella (a light cake marbled with cocoa), Kim's creations are both beautiful and delicious. There's even a small pecan pie that's sure to please the most Southern of palettes.
