Eleanor Johnson
Mrs. Eleanor Mae Johnson, age 90, of Duluth, GA passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-five years, Harvey J. Johnson. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Alan H. Nix, Duluth, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Roger Johnson and Dr. Dona Lee Andrew, Jackson, MS; three grandchildren, Stacy and Gibbs Knotts, Melissa and Sean Harrington and Leslie Nix; and three great grandchildren, Chase Harrington. Eva Harrington and Whitney Knotts. Mrs. Johnson was born February 10, 1921 in Harvey, ND. She was a 1939 graduate of Central High School in Grand Forks, ND, a graduate of the University of North Dakota with a Bachelor's Degree and a graduate of Northwestern University where she received her Medical Technology Degree. She was a retired Medical Technologist from Northwestern Hospital. She was a member of the Eastern Star, a member of the P.E.O., a member of the Tri Delta Sorority, a member of the Sons of Norway and a member of the United Lutheran Church in Grand Forks in North Dakota. Memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 4, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Sondra R. Jones officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care, 8560 Holcomb Bridge Road, Suite 110, Alpharetta, GA 30022-5988 in memory of Eleanor Mae Johnson.
