School police investigating bomb threat at Grace Snell middle school

LOGANVILLE — School police are investigating a bomb threat that briefly interrupted classes Thursday morning at Grace Snell Middle School.

Teachers and students evacuated as a precaution Thursday morning after someone called in a threat to the school shortly before 9 a.m.

Spokesman Jorge Quintana said students were safe. Education officials were given the “all clear” by school police about 10 a.m.

School starts at 9:20 a.m. for the facility, which is located on Brushy Fork Road. The students who had arrived were temporarily sent next door to Magill Elementary.
