Minnesota Lynx forward Maya Moore, a Collins Hill grad, was named the WNBA rookie of the month Thursday, earning the award for the second straight month.
Moore led all rookies in scoring (12.3), rebounding (4.6), steals (1.8) and minutes (27.2) in July. She also ranked in the top three in assists (2.2) and 3-point percentage (42.4). The No. 1 draft pick has helped the Lynx to a 24-6 record and the top spot in the WNBA's Western Conference.
