LAWRENCEVILLE -- There will be a Family Caregivers Conference held at the First United Methodist Church in Lawrenceville on Nov. 5 for people who would like to learn how to deal with stressful situations while taking care of family members.
"This conference will give caregivers much needed resources to help them get through the day," said Arlene Williams, Health Service Coordinator for Gwinnett Senior Services. "It will also be a place of support, where they can meet others in similar situations of caring for a loved one."
During the conference, there are breakout session covering many topics covered to help those caring for elderly and children, including Alzheimer's Disease, burnout, legal and financial problems and more.
This year, the keynote speaker is Denise M. Brown. She has more than 20 years experience in working with family members who are caretakers for those in need. She is presenting the main topic "Secret Stress Buster -- Embracing Limits" at 9:30 a.m.
Attendees must register in advance.
