GBI nabs Lilburn child porn suspect

LILBURN — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation arrested a Lilburn man Thursday for allegedly possessing child pornography.

The GBI's search warrant for the home of 37-year-old Joseph Daniel Williams was based on "203 cybertips" received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children related to an unknown subject uploading files of suspected child porn to a computer in Lilburn, spokesman John Bankhead said.

GBI agents were able to track the suspected IP address back to Williams' residence at 522 Little John Drive before executing the search warrant Thursday with the help of Gwinnett County police. Child pornography was indeed found on Williams' desktop computer, Bankhead said.

Williams was charged with sexual exploitation of children and remains in Gwinnett County Jail without bond.

Forty-one-year-old Jeffrey Burdett, who lived at the same residence, was also arrested after police allegedly found marijuana in his laptop bag.
