LILBURN -- Firefighters were able to contain a Saturday evening fire at a Lilburn apartment complex to one unit.
Gwinnett County firefighters responded to the complex on the 4800 block of Burns Road at about 5:45 p.m., finding a small working fire on the exterior patio of the building, spokesman Lt. Eric Eberly said. Crews evacuated the building and were able to squelch the flames within about 10 minutes, Eberly said.
The apartment of origin suffered moderate damage and will displace the resident family, which was not home at the time of the fire. No other units were affected, Eberly said.
No injuries were reported.
