Ruth Young and Dewey Childers of Stone Mountain recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
They were married Sept. 28, 1941, in Pickens County.
Dewey is a retired pastor and Ruth is a homemaker. They have 3 children: Lamar and Gayle Childers, Ken and Ann Childers, and Chirs and Jan Childers. They also have 7 grandchildren: Mark and Gwen Childers, Todd and Kelly Childers, Edie and Blake Stabler, Julie and Travis Howick, Margaret and Eric Jones, Jacob and Katie Childers and Justin Childers. They also have 10 great-grandchildren: Ethan, Ashley, Hannah, Luke, Brady, Maddie, Emma, Mia, Eloise, and Cade.
They celebrated with a family dinner at the home of Lamar and Gayle Childers in Grayson.
