LAWRENCEVILLE — Construction is expected to cause traffic delays this weekend on Ga. Highway 316.
On behalf of Gwinnett County, crews from C.W. Matthews are resurfacing the highway from Interstate 85 to Sugarloaf Parkway. The work includes removing old asphalft, laying new asphalt and striping the lanes.
In addition, the work will add a third general purpose lane on Ga. 316 east from I-85 to Sugarloaf Parkway.
Work began at 9 p.m. Friday and will last to 5 p.m. Monday on one lane of Ga. 316 east, and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today on Ga. 316 west.
