The Atlanta Falcons have named Wesleyan's Franklin Pridgen as the organization's high school coach of the week after the Wolves' 42-14 win over Pinecrest Academy.
Pridgen will receive a plaque signed by Falcons head coach Mike Smith and a $1,000 grant from the NFL's Youth Football Fund for the Wolves' athletic department. His coaching staff also will get Russell Athletic sweatsuits and his players will get T-shirts.
Atlanta also honored the fifth-grade Peachtree Ridge cheerleading team as its Cheer Squad of the Week. The cheer program will receive a $500 grant from the Falcons and the NFL.
