NORCROSS -- The state chapter of Eagle Forum Georgia has named a local woman state president of the organization.
Eagle Forum works to educate and inform residents about current social and political issues regarding government, the Constitution, human life, taxes, family, the economy, education and religious liberty.
Norcross resident Sara Salsbury will helm the organization at the state level.
In addition, Salsbury was given the national Eagle Forum Award for most outstanding volunteer during the 40th anniversary national conference in Washington, D.C.
She was recognized for her contributions in research and legislative work.
Founded in 1972 by Phyllis Schlafly, Eagle Forum has been "a leader in the pro-family movement. The mission of Eagle Forum is to enable and educate conservative and pro-family men and women in the process of self-government and public policy-making."
