Phillip Norman Lavender, 75, of Duluth, GA, died October 18, 2011. The funeral service will be Saturday, October 22nd at 5:00 p.m. at Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel Funeral Home in Norcross. Burial will follow at Peachtree Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday, October 21st, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Lavender was a gardener and outdoors man and a protective Father of three girls. He was loyal and devoted to his family. He was a member of the Georgia Bar Association as well as the National Bar Association. He loved to live life on his terms right up until the moment he passed. Mr. Lavender was preceded in death by his parents, Edith and Norman Lavender and grandchild, Chelsea Elaine Reese. He is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Brenda Lee Newberry of GA, Kimberly Gail Smith of Sugar Hill, Cynthia and Kenneth Reese of Duluth; brother and sister-in-law, Douglas Wayne and Sylvia Lavender of Fair Play, SC; sister, Lynn Lavender Henderson of Atlanta; and seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
