The All-Star Athletic Academy will present the Meadowcreek Mustangs' youth football/cheer program's homecoming celebration Saturday at Meadowcreek High School. The event will surround 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. homecoming football games for the organization's 6-and-under to 12-and-under squads.
The ASAA traveling football club was founded by longtime NFL receiver Joe Horn to offer football and cheer programs in the Gwinnett area. The two-year-old organization plays in the Georgia Xtreme Youth Football League and is based out of Meadowcreek. It is run by athletic director LaQuisha Martin, football director Derric Jammison, cheer director Darshema White and other volunteers.
Saturday's event will feature raffles and prize giveaways, including Horn's "Bayou87 BBQ Sauce."
