Hours: 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays

Atmosphere: The decor inside the bakery and cafe brings to mind a French country cafe, with whimsical, eclectic and tasteful accents. Each item was hand-picked by Nancy.
Guests can expect comfortable, intimate seating and a surprisingly varied menu.
Menu: Chef Darian Horn creates an impressively varied menu, and beautiful rolls, cakes and pastries daily. Everything is made from scratch.
On the menu
• The Big Café Platter — Country ham, applewood smoked bacon, pork sausage patties and turkey sausage links with three eggs, flapjacks and grits or home fries, $10
• Fresh Fruit Platter — Seasonal fresh fruit with fat-free yogurt and granola, $6
• Double Duo Salad — Chicken and tuna served with cottage cheese, $10
• Blacklabel Burger — You’ll just have to try it to believe it. Served “naked” or with all the fixings, $7.50
"People ask me what we specialize in, and I honestly can't name one single thing," said Nancy Wren. "Darian is passionate about his creations. Everything he makes is absolutely heavenly."
The breakfast menu includes favorites such as steak and eggs and Texas French toast. Platters include eggs, home fries, grits and breakfast meats. The lunch menu includes a wonderful chicken salad sandwich, goat cheese and berry salad and even a grilled veggie burger. There are dozens of items from which to select.
Families, even those with small children, are welcome. Patrons can dine in or take out. The cafe also offers gourmet jams, jellies and dips, as well as unusual kitchen items.
From 4 to 8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, a wine-and-dessert or appetizer-and-beer setting is offered. From 1 to 5 p.m. Saturdays, customers can request wine and beer pairing
Things you might not know: Patsy, at the age of 80, is the problem solver and technology whiz at Sugar Hill Bakery and Cafe. She established and maintains the client/vendor contact list on the latest iTechnology and is the cafe's resident troubleshooter.
