Mr. Clarence Raymond "Ray" Miner, age 87 of Buford, GA passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Betty Jo Berry Miner, Buford, GA; daughters, Mary Louise Miner Meshell, Mesquite, TX, and Joanne Maria Miner Mauricio, Sugar Hill, GA;

sons, William A. Miner, Pensacola, FL, Richard Raymond Miner, St. Ann, MO, Paul Miner, Bowling Green, MO, Kendall Miner, Scherz, TX, Steven Raymond Holmes, Troy, MO, Michael Joseph Holmes, Pensacola, Fl, John Gregory Holmes, Winfield, MO; twenty two grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Mr. Miner was born on July 7, 1924 in Binghamton, NY. He was a 1942 graduate of North High School in Binghamton, New York, and a veteran of World War II serving in the Army Air Corp. He was a retired electronic engineer from the U.S. Government Department of Defense. He was a member of the Buford American Legion Post 127 and the Lawrenceville V.F.W. Post. He was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, Captain of Flotilla, Destin, FL. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Jamie Kaufman and Mr. Bruce Harvey officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, GA with military honors.
