LAWRENCEVILLE -- Students with Gwinnett Technical College's environmental horticulture program have scheduled the annual community plant sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.
The event will be held in the campus greenhouse near building 600. Officials with the college's program hold the community plant sale annually to sell plants students have grown to the community. "Our fall plant sale will be a great mix of old standbys, exciting new varieties and hard to find plant favorites that our customers have come to expect from us," said Roni Trimble, coordinator of greenhouse operations. "There's the chance for a surprise around every corner, and as always we offer an outstanding price." Plants offered at the sale include perennials, fall annuals, vegetables, herbs and shrubs. The Gwinnett Technical College is located next to Building 600 on campus, 5150 Sugarloaf Parkway. Gwinnett Tech offers an associate degree and a diploma program in environmental horticulture, as well as certificate options that train students for employment as landscape design technicians, landscape/greenhouse installation technicians and floral designers.
