Fall Festival planned in Grayson

GRAYSON -- Grayson Elementary has scheduled its annual fall festival for 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

The event also features a 5K race, which begins at 8 a.m. Race-day registration begins at 7:15 a.m.

Other festival features include a dunking booth, cake walk, silent auction, crafts, games, face painting and food.

Grayson Elementary is located at 460 Grayson Parkway.

Literacy night scheduled

LAWRENCEVILLE -- The inaugural literacy night at Alford Elementary is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 27 at 2625 Lawrenceville Highway.

The event includes guest readers, book raffles, art activities, food, readers' theater and literacy games.
